The Netherlands is a sailing nation. Has been for centuries and will be for many years to come. Enjoy the beauty of the Dutch coast, the North Sea or various sweet water inland area's such as the IJsselmeer.
Before sailing out, please make sure you are aware of the weather forecast and if possible notify the harbour master of your sailing plans incl. your destination and eta.
Safety First
Please moor in the appropriate harbours. If you leave the yacht at anchor, please make sure this is tightened securely.
All children under the age of 6 should always bath under the supervision of adults!
Don't sail to close near the shore, always check the depth both on charts and meter.
You should never sail or take a bath in the lake after having drunk alcohol or other stimulants with the same effect or having taken drugs or medicine causing narcosis!
Bear in mind ship routes and always avoid collision courses, even if you have right of way.
